The leadership of the Ghana Armed Forces has announced an open day for school children and the general public on March 7, 2024.
An open day by the military is an annual event organized by the Ghana Armed Forces that offers the general public a rare opportunity to visit military installations throughout the country, interact with officers, and learn firsthand about the military and its activities and services to the people of Ghana.
At the event, the general public is entertained with military displays and drills, and they are introduced to some of the basic units used by the military. Schoolchildren are educated on armies, military services, and how they can join the military when they grow up.

“The general public is cordially invited to the Ghana Armed Forces Open Day at the Air Force Base Accra on Thursday, March 7, 2024, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.”
Schools and individuals who want to attend or visit any of the military installations across the various regions must arrive at the venue before 6 a.m. to get the chance to access the services of officers at the respective installations.
The day is always full of activity, with thousands of people present. If you arrive late at the grounds or the military installation, you will not have the chance to get a feel for it due to the huge numbers that go to the locations announced.
