He Did Not Sleep For A Week Ahead Of His BECE; See What Happened To Him. All BECE candidates must take this seriously. Now that exams is fast approaching, candidates are doing everything in their might to catch up with all they have forgotten and learnt. Interestingly, there are other who do not sleep just because they are facing sleepless night. The story below is a true life story and candidates must take clues from it.

THE STORY
The author will keep the boy’s identity anonymous. However, the author wants to reveal that the boy in question was very intelligent. The boy used to top his class and he was the envy of many. The expectations of teachers was that, the boy will make the school proud by scoring all 1s in the BECE. The classmates of the boy in question were very jealous of him. This is because, all attention were on him. The boy really deserved all the attentions since in 7 consecutive mock examinations, he scored aggregate 6.
To keep up with the expectations of his teachers and relatives, the boy took a very critical decision. The decision was that, two weeks to the main examination, he would sacrifice his sleep and learn.Of course, many successful people, whiles narrating their struggles and secrets, say that they have less sleep. Perhaps, the boy was inspired by that. He heeded to his decision and did not sleep two weeks to the examination week. Lo and behold, the examination week arrived and he felt he was fully prepared. His first two papers were English and RME. According to him, it was impossible for him to get anything less than 1 in English.
The tragedy happened during the second paper. Whiles writing the 2nd paper, he decided to lean on the table. Unfortunately, he fell asleep despite the fact that he was not done. He was not alerted by his friends because they thought he was done. He slept for close to 2 hours. Before he could realise that he was asleep, time was up and he failed the RME paper.

MORAL LESSON
The moral lesson here is that, candidates must have enough rest every day since not everybody’s system can stand sleeplessness.
