According to the information gathered on this heroic feat, the gentleman has a distress call and several WhatsApp messages from his friend who reported the scamming incident to him.
He was able to track down a scammer by their phone number and got their exact location well as the social media accounts they use.
How did he do that, let’s take a look at what he practically did.
1. His friend who sells iPhones contacted me that he was scammed Ghs15,000 by a fellow he didn’t know. The victim sent him the phone numbers used by the buyer who had disappeared into thin air.

Osint is a cyber-related word that means open source intelligence! This is where a person uses the publicly available information on the internet to conduct an investigation on a topic or information! After several hours I was able to identify the scammer behind the phone numbers.
3. He added that he quickly did a deep dive search on all social media sites to gather as much information he could in other to help. He managed to identify the scammers personal Facebook page and other details through his investigations that could lead to an arrest of the suspect.
4. Upon getting the suspect’s social media accounts, he went to determine the location of the suspect by using tools such as metadata to pinpoint the exact locations he frequents! Lo and behold he got the information needed and sent the information to his victim friend who got scammed to make a police report and get the scammer arrested.
5. The Ghana Police used the information provided and carried out their duties and the suspect was picked from his residence.
