How FIFA Robbed Ghana for Portugal in the Group H encounter that ended 3-2 in favour of Portugal leaves much to be desired.
The controversies surrounding the 3-2 win by Portugal against Ghana show a full daylight robbery against the Ghana Black Stars.
On the day, the VAR went to sleep, and they did not apply the rules of checking all goals, offside calls, and penalties all because it was an African country playing against Portugal.
If a team calls for the need to consult the VAR, their call must be respected in fairness and not to take wrong decisions. This is important as far as the VAR is concerned. Referees like Ismail Elfath must not be officiating at the World Cup.
On the day, FIFA referee Ismail Elfath robbed Ghana and gifted Ronaldo an undeserved goal.
This is the greatest robbery ever and FIFA must be ashamed of itself as well as all the officials that managed the game between Portugal and Ghana.
Reacting to the wrong penalty awards to Portugal after the game, Atto Addo, Ghana’s coach questioned the presence and use of the VAR at the FIFA World Cup.
The referee gave a penalty which was not a penalty, everybody saw that Salisu played the ball.” He said.
The Ghanaian defender kicked the ball and didn’t touch Ronaldo why the penalty? Is it because it was Ronaldo? He asked.
On the night the VR failed to do their work leading to a penalty that should not have been awarded in the first place the video assistant referees were sleeping during the game, and they fail to do their work. On the night it looked like the FIFA World Cup game was planned to cheat Ghana in favour of Portugal.
On the night The #VAR surprised the entire world. Was it turned off yesterday? When Ghana locked horns with Portugal, it was a plan to cheat Africa. The penalty was wrongly awarded, 2 offsides were never called, and the referee didn’t even check the VAR screen on these decisive moments. Pure robbery!!!

Africa must send a strong warning to the football community and FIFA. If the plan is to always cheat African teams that come to play at the World Cup, then Africa must unite Against this form of racism and robbery against teams from Africa.
Africa must boycott the next FIFA World Cup together as a continent to send a strong signal to FIFA and stakeholders that Africa must be treated fairly.
