How to answer List or Name Questions in Social Studies and RME which carry 2-10 Marks

In this instance, you may write one to three worded answers or a sentence with up to 15 words in each for every answer.

Examples of questions

  1. List the eight planets in the Solar System (This requires naming the planets)
  2. Name five rivers in Africa
  3. List four importance of rivers to Ghana (This answer requires complete, well-written answers and not answers.

For such a question, the wrong answers are

  1.  Source of Protein
  2.  Creates jobs

The correct answers are

  2. Rivers create jobs for fishermen, fishmongers, and cold store operators to earn a living.

These answers can also be used to answer questions that require that Candidates State or mention.

Questions that demand definitions must be answered well. Students must define in simple English, but must not miss the keywords needed in the definition. Give one good example to support the answer.
