The administration of GES has officially brought to their employees the approved subject areas for Study Leave With Pay for the 2023 academic year. In line with the G.E.S. Study Leave With Pay policy, workers of the service are to satisfy some requirements before they qualify for the prize of Study Leave With Pay.

Study Leave With Pay Requirements
1. All qualified applicants must pursue an approved course as determined by the director of GES.
2. GES staff who are pursuing second or third-degree do not qualify for study leave with pay.
3. Principle Superintendents who obtained their rank through a sandwich programme do not also qualify to apply.
4. GES staff who are 55 years and above do not qualify for the study leave with pay.
5. Members who vacate the Service and are re-engaged must serve a minimum of five (5) years before being eligible for study leave with pay.
6. Members who are eligible for study leave with pay must serve for a minimum of two (2) years after the study leave course.
7. Teachers pursuing courses meant for non-teaching personnel will not enjoy study leave with pay.
8. Non-Teaching staff pursuing courses meant for teachers personnel will not enjoy study leave with pay.
9. Study leave with pay will not be granted for part-time courses/programmes.
How to Apply For GES Study Leave With Pay For 2023
Application for Study Leave With Pay:
1. Applicants should obtain application forms from the Metro/Municipal/District Education Offices.
2. Applicants should complete application forms (4 copies), Attach certified true copies of certificate(s).
3. Applications should be submitted to the applicant’s Regional Director through the Metro/Municipal/District Director/Head of Institution (2nd Cycle).

4. The Regional/District Directors should ensure that the list of all fully qualified beneficiaries reaches the Acting Director, Human Resource Management and Development (HRMD) G.E.S. Headquarters by 30th November 2023.
