How to check if WAEC is ready to release 2024 WASSCE for School results online

Many students who sat for the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination for School Candidates are wondering when the West African Examinations Council will release the WASSCE for School results online for the International examination.

Well, while WAEC has said it will release the WASSCE for School results in the second week of December this year, GhanaEducation.org as an education-focused blog in this blog will show you how to check if the Council is ready to release the exam results online.

To check if the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) is ready to release the WASSCE for School results, visit the WASSCE results checker portal (https://ghana.waecdirect.org) and check if the Examination Year has been updated to a current Year (Eg 2024).

1. Vist the WASSCE results checking portal

2. Enter your Index Number

3. Select the Type of Examination (e.g. WASSCE).

4. Select your Examination Year (eg. 2024)

6. Enter the 12-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) on your Voucher eg. 012345678912.

7. Confirm your Index Number and Examination Year. This is to ensure that your examination information is correct.

8. Click on Submit and wait for the display in the popup window. This may take several minutes.

The 2024 edition of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination for School Candidates which started on Monday, August 5, 2024, with the administration of Visual Art Project work ended on Friday, September 20, 2024.

A total of 460,611 candidates made up of 212,954 males and 247,657 females, presented by 1,003 second-cycle schools registered for the examination. The WASSCE for School was administrated at 1,000 centres across the country.
