Honorable Kennedy Agyapong, a presidential aspirant for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has furiously sent a threat message to the sitting president, Akufo-Addo and his Vice President, Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia over the alleged reports that, one of his agents was sacked from the polling station during the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) super delegate congress.
In the viral footage spotted online. the current Member of Parliament (MP) for the Assin Central Constituency, Honorable Kennedy Agyapong, was seen and heard swearing to God to give a ‘showdown’ to President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Bawumia.
Also, in the footage he swore to God that he will challenge the sitting President at any time and they will see what will happen.
The ongoing NPP super delegate congress is happening in all the regions and it is believed that, the viral video of the Assin Central MP was recorded in his own constituency and region. It is also known that he casted his vote at that particular place as well.
In the spotted and viral video, the Honorable member was seen to be aggressively speaking to someone on the phone. No sources has confirmed whom he was speaking with, but it is truly believed that he might have been talking to a campaign member or even a coordinator.
As I revealed above, the NPP super delegates congress is currently being held in all the sixteen (16) regions in Ghana and a total of nine hundred and sixty-five (965) super delegates is expected to cast their votes at the Headquarters of the NPP in Accra.
The New Patriotic Party’s primaries will be held this year November. The ongoing super delegates congress is to elect only five contenders to compete among themselves in the November primaries. The winner of the November primaries will be the flag bearer for the NPP in the 2024 elections.
