Is The CSSPS Portal Working; GES Gives Latest Update On How To Access The Website

Though the 2023 SHS Placement has been released, several students are finding it difficult to access the school placement portal.

Ghana Education Service has reacted to this trending issue and has made it clear that the issue is as a result of the number of persons visiting the website at a particular time.

GES added that the website is currently working fine. All persons having issues accessing the site will have to wait for a while or access it later.

‘The cssp.gov.gh site is up. Please be patient and keep trying. Many people are on it now. Thank you

This comes after the Minsitry of Education and the Ghana Education Service released the school placement for the 2023 academic year. In a press conference on Wednesday, the director of GES revealed that  out of 547,329 registered candidates, 538,399 candidates qualified for placement. This clearly means that a total of 8,930 candidates were not placed in any senior high school or any TVET institution in the country. These are likely to be the candidates who obtained grade 9 in English or mathematics or in most subjects.

For this reason, they cannot start their secondary Education this year. If they want to access free SHS that will be in 2024 after they have retake the BECE as a private BECE candidate and excel before they can go to school.
