IT/Networking Specialist

We are seeking a skilled IT/Networking Specialist to join our team for a commercial construction project in Accra, Ghana. The IT/Networking Specialist will be responsible for designing, setting up, and managing IT infrastructure and network systems to ensure a reliable and secure information environment. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of network architectures, server technologies, and IT security protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design, set up, and manage network systems and servers.
• Implement IT security measures and protocols to protect data and network systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network and system issues.
• Collaborate with vendors and other IT personnel to ensure smooth operation.
• Regularly evaluate IT and network infrastructure to ensure it meets necessary demands and is up to date.
• Collaborate with construction crew and other tradespeople.

• Proven experience as an IT/Networking Specialist or in a similar role.
• Extensive knowledge of network architectures, server technologies, and IT security protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Valid Ghanaian or international driver’s license.
• Flexibility to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certification as an IT/Networking Specialist or similar role.
• Experience working in Ghana or a similar environment.
• Proficiency in both English and local language.

This role is a fixed contract and you will be paid per day of contract.

The daily pay rate depends on the work carried out and can range from 50Ghs – 80 Ghs per day.
