Lawrence Agyekum, a young midfielder from Ghana, was thrilled to play his first game for Austrian giants Redbull Salzburg.
The midfielder from the West African Football Academy (WAFA) made his first appearance for RB Salzburg’s senior team in their 3:2 win over SCR Altach in the Austrian Bundesliga.
The 18-year-old took over for Sekou Koita for the last 30 minutes of RB Salzburg’s game.

In 2021, the unpredictable midfielder moved from WAFA, which was in the Ghana Premier League at the time, to RB Salzburg.

Agyekum said he couldn’t wait to play his first game for RB Salzburg.
Agyekum said, “I’m very excited to make my first team appearance. It was a lot of fun to put on the first team jersey and make my debut.”
“Putting on a good show and helping my team win was just the beginning of great things to come. In fact, dreams do come true, and I thank God for that “he added.
Last year, he played for Liefering, which is RB Salzburg’s youth team.
