January 2024 Private WASSCE Registration Date extended: WAEC
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has extended the registration deadline for the January 2024 Private WASSCE from 31st December 2024 to 8th January 2025.
The extension became necessary due to the delayed release of the 2024 WASSCE results. WAEC released the results on 30th December 2024, instead of the initial 18th December timeline. This extension provides an opportunity for students who failed any paper or whose results were withheld or canceled to register for the first private WASSCE series of 2025.
In an announcement on its official X account, WAEC stated:
“Registration of candidates for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination for Private Candidates, 2025-First Series is ongoing and scheduled to end on Wednesday, 8th January 2025.”
WAEC further urged prospective candidates to visit its website for registration details and complete the process at any WAEC-accredited internet café. Registration requires scanning your thumbprints, which can only be done at accredited facilities.
What is the January 2024 Private WASSCE first series exam date?
Per the release by WAEC, the examination is scheduled to start on 25th January 2025. The examination will end on 15th February, 2025.
Candidates are required to capture their fingerprints at designated internet cafés prior to the registration.
