On the direction of the Director-General of the Ghana Education Service (GES), Prof Kwasi Opoku-Amankwa, the Northern Regional Director, Dr. Peter Attafuah, has ordered the teacher’s removal from the service immediately.
Mr. Eliasu has been granted police inquiry bail awaiting further investigations for prosecution by the Northern Regional Office of the Domestic Violence & Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU).

According to the female student, whose identity has been concealed for unknown reasons, his former instructor, Mr. Imoro Eliasu, reportedly discharged some substance suspected to be semen on her.
Mr. Amatus D Tug-uu, the Tamale Metropolitan Director of GES, told the newspaper that the victim reported the event to a female teacher at the school, who, along with the headmaster, reported the crime to the police.
The woman was transported to the hospital for medical assessment, according to the GES Metropolitan Director, and the substance released on her was said to be semen, which implied that she was sexually attacked.
