A Facilities Management Company seeks the services of a: Senior Accounts Officer

Summary of Job Description

• Responsible for all-day-to-day accounting functions
• Record and review journal entries, analyse general ledger accounts and ensure completeness and accurate of accounts
• Produce consistent and accurate supporting schedules and reconciliations for all general ledger
• Prepare timely reconciliation of all accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including analysing regularly the aged analyses and take remedial actions to address outstanding and keep the accounts current
• Prepare responses to internal and external audit queries and assist in the implementation of audit findings
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations of all bank accounts and follow up on all outstanding issues to resolve them
• Prepare and file accurate and timely statutory tax and non-tax returns and ensure proper filing same
• Rightly manage and reconcile petty cash at all times
• Knowledge in payroll computations and reporting
• Maintain an updated fixed asset register at all times
• Responsible for month-end/year-end closure activities on all general ledger accounts
• Provide top-class customer service to all internal and external clients
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned by your superior from time to time

• Sufficient knowledge in Microsoft suit (word, excel, power-point etc)
• Knowledge of international financial reporting standards (IFRSs).

Qualification Required & Experience

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field with at least 5 years of work experience in a similar role
• Part/fully qualified professional certification such as CPA, ICAG, ACCA, CIMA

OR

• A Diploma in Accounting, Finance or related field with at least 6 years of work experience in a similar role
• Part/fully qualified professional certification such as CPA, ICAG, ACCA, CIMA
