Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the following vacant position in a leading rural bank in the Eastern Region: System Auditor

General Purpose

• The Systems Auditor shall ensure that the organisations information technology infrastructure are functioning properly as well as comply with internal and regulatory policies

Job Description

• Analyzing information security controls to identify vulnerabilities in applications, networks infrastructure and operating systems
• Monitoring the flow of data to ensure that it is moving through computer systems as intended
• Performing data analysis and testing of software systems for bugs or errors that could have an impact on operations
• Conducting security audits to ensure that current security measures are adequate to protect against threats such as hacking or data theft
• Reviewing information security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Conducting physical audit of computer hardware and software to assess performance levels and detect errors
• Monitoring network traffic and activity to identify security breached or unauthorized data backup systems ensure that data is being of stored securely and can be recommend in case of a system failure
• Reviewing data recovery plans to ensure that they are up to date and effective

Qualification Required & Experience

• A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, computer engineering or a related field, Comp TIA, Cisco CCNA or Palo alto CCNA will be an added advantage
• A minimum of 2 years of working experience in the same or similar role in the banking sector

Competencies & Skills

• Must be computer literate, with proficiency in T24 banking software and Microsoft office suite
• Self motivated, analytical & attentive to details
• Demonstrate high standards of integrity, professionalism & adhere to ethical standards
• Good numeracy and coordination skills
