In a post on Twitter, the flag bearer of the NDC for the 2024 elections expressed his sadness. He added that although the security agencies in Ghana are challenged in dealing with the difficult task of securing peace in the Bawku area, there is a need for the military and the Ghana Police to collaborate to increase security and safety in the area.
He called on the security to remember their duty to protect the people and uphold the peace.
It is important that “people of Bawku must embrace peace and the military must also know they are there to protect life and property not to kill” one of those who left a comment on the post by John Mahama indicated.
