Jojo Wallacot Injured; Sad News Hit Ghana Black Stars
Jojo Wollacott, the goalkeeper for the Black Stars, hurt his finger over the weekend, so he won’t be able to play in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
After first hearing about it on sportsworldghana.com, the goalkeeper’s group told Joy Sports that it was true.
On Saturday, the 26-year-old was supposed to start in goal for Charlton Athletic when they played Burton Albion in a league game.
Wollacott, however, didn’t play because he hurt himself during the warm-up before the game.
Ben Garner, the manager of the Addicks, was hoping that the goalkeeper’s injury wouldn’t keep him from playing in the Mundial.
But after getting scanned, the player won’t be able to play in Qatar for the Black Stars.
On Monday, November 14, Otto Addo was expected to name the final 26-person World Cup team.
