A two-year-old Kenyan boy died while getting surgery at the country’s main hospital. He had a forked hoe stuck in his head.
The boy died after his family and the public said it took doctors at the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) more than 20 hours to let him in and give him emergency care.
But the hospital said in a statement on Tuesday that the delay was because the patient had lost a lot of blood and needed to be stabilized before surgery.
