The 62-year-old actor passed away in the early hours of today at Evercare Hospital in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos State. Mr. Ibu’s career extended decades, and he became well-known for his remarkable comic abilities. His distinct manner and infectious laughter attracted him to audiences in Nigeria and elsewhere.

Mr. Ibu suffered from serious health issues before to his death. His leg required seven surgeries, including the amputation of one of his limbs. Despite his losses, he continued to inspire supporters with his tenacity and undying passion.
He recently had another operation on the same limb, resulting in restricted speech. Fans and fellow performers are sharing their greatest memories of Mr. Ibu.
His distinctive laugh, exaggerated emotions, and ability to turn everyday settings into humorous moments will live on in our hearts forever. Mr. Ibu’s performances, whether as the bumbling fool or the smart sidekick, delighted millions.
