Multiple Award winning Broadcast Journalist, Komla Adom has joined BBC pidgin after resigning from TV3.
Komla Adom took to his Facebook page to announce his New position as the senior Journalist at BBC pidgin.
“ I’m thrilled to announce that I joined BBC pidgin as senior Journalist.
In my new role as a senior Journalist in Ghana, I shall be curating news and other contents Primary for BBC Pidgin Service across it digital platforms.
This is a a new journey I begin with excitement and know there already high expectations for me.
I acknowledge it would be very easy, I always hope to to count on the unceasing Grace of God and the supper of you to succeed ” he stated
Komla Adom was serving as a reporter and news anchor at (Multimedia Group) Joy FM and Joy News before he joined ‘Ade Sa We Kanda’ based Media General in 2020.
Komla Adom is among the versatile young Ghananain Broadcasters who are working tirelessly in the Media space to promote the welfare of individuals in terms of education, human rights and business development.
At TV3, Komla Adom served as news anchor on Mid-day news and sometimes featured on their major bulleting, News 360 and 3 FM respectively.
As a news reporter, he did a numerous of documentaries concerning education, human rights among others.
BBC pidgin was established in 2017 to provide services in Pidgin and other related African languages to it cherish audiences across all digital platforms. BBC pidgin has it headquarters at Lagos, Nigeria.
Komla Adom new role is to provide BBC pidgin with information and contents from Ghana.
Recently, Komla Adom won Human Rights Journalist of the Year at West Africa Media Excellence Awards (WAMECA2023) with his Reality and Gaps in Ghana’s Educational System.
He also won Award at Ghana Journalist Awards (GJA) for his educational documentary during the COVID 19 pandemic era.
“I shall do my best to reach the very high standard Set by my predecessor incredible Favour Nunoo, who had been gracious to offer the necessary guidance every step of the way ” Komla Adom .
Komla Adom is the latest Ghananain Journalist to join BBC pidgin after Favour Nunoo.
