Kwabena Duffour Withdraws Court Case: NDC Primaries Will Be Held Tomorrow

Former Finance Minister, Dr Kwabena Duffuor, who is now a Flagbearer aspirant of the NDC, has withdrawn the injunction application he filed against the presidential and parliamentary primaries of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

NDC is set to conduct it’s presidential and parliamentary elections on Saturday, 12th May, 2023. However, Dr Kwabena Duffour has seen some irregularities in the NDC’s voters register and for that matter, sought an injunction on the elections.

News coming in indicates that the lawyers of Kwabena Duffour told the court on Friday, May 12 that they had been instructed by their client to discontinue the case.

Kwabena Duffour Withdraws Court Case: NDC Primaries Will Be Held Tomorrow

Director of Legal Affairs of the NDC Abraham Amaliba who was in court told journalists that “we are aware the matter has been discontinued, lawyers for Dr Duffuor announced to the court that they had instructions to discontinue the matter and so as we speak the matter has been discontinued.

“I will like to use this opportunity to thank the Council of Elders of the party, National Chairman, General Secretary for the effort put in place in resolving this matter.

“I also want to thank Dr Duffuor, the Presidential aspirant for his magnanimity and to accept to withdraw this matter from court. What this shows is that the NDC is united.”

With the Curt Case now foiled by the leadership of the NDC, all is set for the NDC Primaries Will Be Held Tomorrow. It is hoped that the Electoral Commission will rescind its decision not to carry on with the NDC Primaries and dispatch materials and personnel now.
