MoE Awards Fresh Laptops Contract to KA Technologies worth GHS124M
The Ministry of Education (MoE) has awarded Fresh Laptops Contract to KA Technologies worth GHS124M. This is contained in a letter dated 13th December 2021 from the Ministry of Education to the controversial company.
In the new contract, KA Technologies will supply 80,000 pieces of laptops valued at One Hundred and Twenty-Four Million Ghana Cedis (GH¢ 124,000,000.00) inclusive of VAT.
The price per laptop under the new contract is Meanwhile, GH¢ 1,550. The laptops are to be delivered within 10 weeks from the day of the contract and the supply is to match the specification in the agreed proposal.
According to the Ministry of Education, the contract will be canceled if the terms and conditions are not adhered to.
“The delivery period will be strictly monitored. Non-compliance with the schedule of requirements will result in the contract being cancelled”
The contract letter was signed by the Minister of Education,
A contract statement endorsed by the Minister of Education, Dr Yaw Adutwum. According to the letter, the contract was awarded after the Public Procurement Approval (PPA) had been satisfied.

KA Technologies is to provide the MoE an acceptance letter within 14 days after the contract date and also submit performance security from a bank amounting to 10% of the contract sum or make available an insurance company covering 30% of the contract value.
