Financial Constraints Hinder Education for NSMQ Contestant with Impressive Academic Results.
Aryeetey Emmanuel Nii Junior, a bright student who excelled in the WASSCE with 6As and 2Bs, is facing obstacles in pursuing further education due to financial challenges. After graduating from St. Hubert Sem. Senior High School in 2022, Aryeetey aspired to become a Medical Doctor but finds his dream in jeopardy due to the financial constraints he and his family are currently facing.
During our conversation with Aryeetey Emmanuel Nii Junior’s father, Mr. Martin Kwabena Bonya, it became apparent that their financial situation is preventing Aryeetey from gaining admission into any prestigious Medical School in Ghana as a regular student. Martin Kwabena Bonya expressed that they are unable to afford the fee-paying option at any university unless his son is granted a scholarship.
Aryeetey Emmanuel Nii Junior has expressed his desire to study medicine at institutions such as Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology or University of Ghana, or any other preferred university. However, the lack of financial support for his tertiary education poses a significant challenge.

In 2022, Aryeetey Emmanuel Nii Junior represented St. Hubert Sem. Senior High School in the NSMQ Regional Qualifiers and Championship, earning a certificate of participation in the National Science and Maths Quiz. Furthermore, he was recognized with a certificate by the management of Brightest and Best International for his dedicated service as the Boy’s Prefect during the 2018/2019 academic year.
