#NanaMustGo and #KenMustGo Trending As Fuel Prices Go Up Again

#NanaMustGo and #KenMustGo are hashtags that are currently trending on Twitter this morning as Ghana’s economic outlook looks life-threatening for ordinary citizens. Trending Now is #NanaMustGo Scores of Social media users are calling on Nana to Step Down as Ghana’s President. This follows calls by the Members of parliament of the ruling NPP government that the President should terminate the appointment of Hon. Ken Ofori Atta as Finance Minister.
At the time of publishing this story, Fuel prices at some pumps have crossed 17Ghs per litre. Super is now Ghs17.54 per litter and GHS19.94 for a litre of Diesel.
Some tweets sighted by Ghanaeducation.org have indicated that “The financial policies implemented by Ken were signed and defended by Nana, his posture of insulting us and daring us to vote for their identical twin is enough for us to read through. We can’t let the behemoth stay and cause more deaths.”

The Minority has initiated the process to ensure the Minister of Finance, Hon. Ken Ofori Atta is impeached however, Ghanaians have reacted to the call with the #NanaMustGo hashtag on Twitter which in itself looks like a vote of no confidence in the President’s ability to redeem the country from the current mess.
