NDC Announces War Against Western Togoland

The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has threatened to banish the organization identifying itself as Western Togoland from the Volta Region, sending a “warning shot” in their direction.
In an exclusive interview with The Chronicle on Saturday, Bright Egeh, the party’s deputy volta regional secretary, revealed this.
He claims that Western Togoland does not exist and is the imagined fabrication of a group of anonymous individuals who have chosen to control certain individuals in order to render the nation unruly.
The Deputy Secretary went on to say that the NDC’s determination is rooted in the reality that, to the surprise of most people, the organization only speaks up during an election year.

According to him, the purpose of the body’s actions is to scare the people in the area, who are viewed as the party’s global bank, into being indifferent to the impending general elections.
Mr. Egeh asserted that the party had its own intelligence and will take decisive action against anyone attempting to sow discord in an effort to depress votes in the area.
