Ghana Education News is reliably informed that there is a new update regarding the 2022 WASSCE withheld results. According to our sources, the West African Examination Council (WAEC) has released another set of 2022 WASSCE withheld results for school candidates.
Candidates whose for some reasons have had their WASSCE results pending since the release of results can check online to confirm if their pending results have finally been released by WAEC.
Apart from students whose results were pending because of examination malpractice investigations going on with respect to their results, other candidates had their results blocked by WAEC as directed by the GES and their respective schools.
Students with their results blocked were to contact their schools and deal with all outstanding issues such as owning of bills, unreturned library books, destruction of school properties among others.
Candidates who did not engage in any form of examination malpractice but can still not access their 2022 WASSCE results must contact their schools to get updates from the school leadership.
WASSCE graduates who have still not been able to access their results cannot complete their application for admission into tertiary institutions and may end up losing an opportunity to start their tertiary education in January 2023.
In a related development, the 2023 WASSCE for school candidates has been projected to be administered by WAEC from in August-September 2023. This was contained in the 2023 academic calendar released by the Ministry of Education (MoE) and the Ghana Education Service (GES).
The full academic calendar for BECE graduates who are expected to report to school in February 2023 has also been released ahead of the release of their 2022 BECE results and school placement.
