3. Jail Time
Barker-Vormawor claimed that one of the humiliations was that he had spent time in prison on three separate occasions, citing one or two of those instances.

4. Halting of Ph.D. Program
Barker-Vormawor also claimed that one of the humiliations asserted his Ph.D. program at the University of Cambridge had been put on hold, impacting his academic pursuits.

5. Cyberbullying

In a recent and disturbing incident captured on video, former tollbooth workers with disabilities faced harassment as they attempted to picket at the Transport Ministry in Accra. The videos, circulating on social media since November 11, showcase these individuals, previously employed as tollbooth workers, forcefully trying to enter the Ministry’s premises while encountering resistance from security personnel.

The footage reveals a tense scene as the disabled former tollbooth workers question the security ‘s decision to bar their entry, expressing their frustration with the words, “Why are you doing this? Aren’t we human beings as well?” Despite the resistance, some managed to enter the transport Ministry ‘s premises, resuming their picketing activities.

Earlier reports from MyJoyOnline highlighted that this group of former tollbooth workers spent a night at the Transport Ministry, seeking two years’ worth of salaries following the cessation of toll collection. Subsequently, they were taken to the Central Police Station in Accra for statements. As of Wednesday afternoon, no charges had been filed against them, and they remained in custody.

The background to this incident dates back to November 18, 2021, when toll collection in Ghana ceased following Finance Minister Ken Ofori Atta’s announcement to abolish tollbooth in the 2022 budget. The Minister for Roads and Highways, Kwaku Amoako Atta, promptly directed the halt of toll collection nationwide, effective from midnight on November 18, 2021.

While drivers welcomed this directive, traders expressed concerns about its impact on their livelihoods. Notably, the decision faced opposition from the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, who deemed it unlawful, emphasizing that the ban on toll collection was a policy proposal in the budget and should not have been implemented immediately.

Controversial media personality, Okatakyie Afrifa, has stirred up a storm with a warning directed at the National Executives of the NPP. During a live broadcast of the Angel Morning Show, Afrifa threatened to lead a group of individuals to physically assault NPP executives if the party loses the 2024 general elections.

Expressing dissatisfaction with the current NPP leadership, Okatakyie Afrifa accused the executives of making detrimental decisions and appointing individuals based on what he referred to as “bootlicking.” Okatakyie Afrifa specifically challenged the party`s (NPP) appointment of Ernest Kofi Owusu Bempah as the deputy national communication officer, alleging that the position was secured through favoritism towards the 2024 elections.

President Akufo-Addo, speaking at the event, urged the people of Bantama to maintain Asenso-Boakye as their representative, expressing his desire for Asenso-Boakye to continue the commendable work he has been doing.

2pm, popularly called the King of Bars, passed on in a horrifying motor accident Friday night, various reports affirm.

As per the reports, the rapper passed on in the accident which happened around Wassa Akropong.

The dead rapper’s remaining parts have been stored at the Wassa Akropong Government Hospital Morgue.

On November 9, 2023, news surfaced about Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia ‘s strategic visit to Kennedy Agyapong, his main contender in the New Patriotic Party’s presidential primaries on November 4. The visit aimed to address issues and secure Agyapong’s active participation in the upcoming 2024 elections.

The Daily Guide, branding it a “calculated political move,” reported that the meeting which Bawumia visits Ken Agyapong , conducted over dinner, sought to strengthen the bond between the influential figures and foster collaboration for the nation’s benefit as the 2024 elections loomed.

Despite government communicators proclaiming the meeting’s success and an agreement on election strategies, Kessben FM’s political analyst, Nana Frimpong Zeiga, challenged these claims. Citing Kennedy Agyapong ’s brother and lawyer, Ralph Agyapong, as his source, Zeiga suggested that the meeting’s outcome may not be as positive as portrayed.

The deadlock arose as Agyapong seemed unwavering in his stance towards Bawumia, indicating that unless his conditions were met, he wouldn’t actively participate in any NPP campaign. This revelation challenged the earlier narrative of a successful meeting.

Meanwhile, Ralph Agyapong, Kennedy Agyapong ‘s brother and campaign spokesperson, hinted at the possibility that Agyapong might look beyond the 2024 presidential campaign and refrain from engaging in Bawumia ‘s bid. Citing events leading up to the November 4 election, Ralph suggested that Agyapong might find it more prudent to distance himself from the Bawumia campaign.
