The  West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has cautioned of result upgrades scams ahead of the 2021 Private BECE results release. The advice comes in the wake of announcements made by some persons on social media. The council has advised candidates to desist from any attempt to upgrade their results through the backdoor.

It called on the candidates to refrain from what it described as “results upgrading.”

The council has indicated through a blog post attempts by some unscrupulous individuals via social media who claim to be staff of WAEC. These persons are promising students of result upgrades at a fee.
