NSA releases pin codes for 2nd batch trained nurses and midwives
The National Service Authority (NSA), formerly National Service Scheme has released PIN codes for the second batch of 3,590 trained nurses and midwives from all accredited Nursing and Midwifery Training Institutions in the country.
The PIN codes, the Service Authority in a statement sighted by GhanaEducation.org said will enable tertiary graduates to enrol for their mandatory national service for the 2024/2025 service year.
Eligible candidates it said can access their PIN codes by logging onto the NSA website (https://www.nss.gov.gh/) and entering their school index number and date of birth.
“After obtaining their PIN code, candidates must proceed to any branch of ADB Bank Ltd. to make a payment of GH¢40.00, or alternatively, through the MTN MoMo platform for GH¢41.00, to activate the PIN code,” the NSA noted.
The registration which commenced today, Friday, October 4, 2024, the management of the National Service Authority indicated will end on Friday, October 18, 2024, with no further extension of the deadline.
“The National Service Authority urges all prospective personnel to complete the enrolment process carefully to avoid errors that could negatively impact the deployment process,” it concluded in the press statement.
The release of the second batch of pincodes comes after the NSA April 3, 2024, released a total of 20,289 PIN Codes for the newly-trained nurses and midwives for the 2024/25 service year.
“The Management of the National Service Scheme (NSS) has, today, April 3, 2024, released a total Twenty Thousand, Two Hundred and Eighty-Nine (20,289) Personal Identification Number (PIN) codes for the enrolment of newly-trained Nurses and Midwives from all accredited universities and Nursing Training Colleges in the country to begin the process of their mandatory one-year national service for the 2024/25 service year
All prospective national service personnel are hereby requested to visit the Scheme’s website www.nss.gov.gh to access their PIN codes using their respective School Index Number and Date of Birth.
Prospective Personnel should visit any ADB Bank Branch nationwide and pay a registration fee of GHC 40.00. Alternatively, they have the option to make a payment of GHC 41.00 via MTN MoMo.
Enrolment starts today, April 3, 2024, and ends on Friday, 19th, 2024.
