Dr. Osei-kwame, also known as Despite, is an astute businessman with a solid background in music production and who is intimately familiar with the broadcasting sector.
Osei-Kwame is the proprietor of the media firm Despite Company Ltd., which has subsidiaries in the media sector, including Peace FM, the biggest and most well-known FM station in the nation, Okay FM, Neat FM, both in Accra and Hello FM in Kumasi.
Dr. Osei-Kwame founded Neat Foods Ltd, which transforms local plantains, coco yams, maize, and palm fruits into Neat Fufu, which has replaced traditional fufu as a favorite.
Additionally, he owns the manufacturing business Antona Foods Ltd, which makes the perennially popular THIS WAY chocolate drink in addition to other flavors like the kid-friendly Mother lac cereal. Despite is a co-founder of the Winneba-based salt mining company U2 Salt.
Together with his partner, Dr. Osei-Kwame co-founded United Television (UTV), the top television station in the nation.
He is a co-founder and vice chairman of the well-known financial institution Best Point Savings and Loans Ltd.
Dr. Osei-Kwame, a business expert of no small renown, has previously been honored with numerous prestigious awards, including an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Human Resources from Canterbury University, the title of Honorary Ambassador of Business Entrepreneur in West Africa (Ambassador), and the title of Honorary man of the moment, Ghana, West Africa.
In 2013, the Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana presented him with the Best Entrepreneur for Multimedia award, which was sponsored by the Ministry of Trade and Industries. Despite is a steadfast and committed Christian.
