University Assistant (Prae-Doc): PhD Scholarship Position in Mathematical Economics, Technische Universität Wien, Austria
Tasks under the PhD Scholarship Position in Mathematical Economics
- Conduct research in the field of probability theory, under the supervision of Prof. Fabio Toninelli (head of the Probability group)
- Publish research results in peer-reviewed journals and obtain a PhD degree in mathematics
- Tutoring of students, collaboration in the research unit’s teaching and organizational tasks
- Participate in scientific events (conferences, workshops, summer schools, etc.)

Your profile:
- Completion of a master curriculum in mathematics until the time of occupation
- Strong motivation in working in the field of probability theory and, in particular, statistical mechanics
- Strong background in probability and/or stochastic analysis
- Fluency in English; knowledge of German is not required, but will be appreciated
