[PHOTOS] FIFA World Cup Stadiums in Qatar 2022
These are the Stadiums for Qatar 2022 world cup. These stadiums are well-equipped and modernized as well.
The 2022 FIFA World Cup will be the first in the Arab area and the most compact, enabling supporters to watch many games a day.
Solar-powered cooling systems keep stadiums, training facilities, and fan zones cool. All stadiums are eco-friendly and temperature-controlled.
Qatar has fewer than 3 million inhabitants, thus the tournament’s legacy must be handled. The 2022 FIFA World Cup organizers want to develop modular stadiums that may be changed after the event to provide a legacy beyond Qatar.
After the competition, 170,000 seats will be removed and donated to underdeveloped countries for sports infrastructure. Qatar will have 20-25,000-seat stadiums for domestic entertainment after 22 rising economies build stadiums.

Al Thumama Stadium
Host city: | Doha |
Gross capacity: | 40,000 |
Matches planned: | Group matches, the round of 16, and quarter-finals |
The traditional qahfiya (the hat worn beneath the Ghutra and Egal) in the Arab world influenced the design of the Al Thumama Stadium, which is a unique Arab architectural symbol. This design was selected because it represents a culture shared by Arabs across the Arab world. As a result, it displays the depth of Arab civilization as well as the Arab nations’ linked cultural-historical past.
The stadium has a capacity of 40,000 seats, which will be reduced to 20,000 after the competition.
974 Stadium
Host city: | Doha |
Gross capacity: | 40,000 |
Matches planned: | Group matches and the round of 16 |
The 974 stadium project is a trailblazer in the field of sports stadium building. This stadium, made of shipping containers, will be fully demolished, and the materials used in its construction will be reused. Aside from being the international dialing code for Qatar, the stadium’s name is derived from the number of containers used to construct it.
The stadium is only minutes from Hamad International Airport and overlooks the Gulf Coast and the spectacular West Bay towers.
Al Bayt Stadium
The Al Bayt Stadium can hold up to 60,000 people. It is one-of-a-kind due to its massive tent construction that covers the whole stadium and is called after Bayt al sha’ar – tents traditionally utilized by nomadic peoples in Qatar and the Gulf area.
The architecture of the stadium pays homage to Qatar’s history and presence, while also serving as an example of green development and sustainability. Al Bayt will be reduced to 32,000 seats after the competition.
