Pusiga: Complete stalled projects – Dr Halidu tells government

Dr. Halidu , the esteemed Principal of the Gbewaa College of Education, has raised a critical issue that demands immediate attention from the government: the urgent completion of several Ghana Education Trust Fund (GET Fund) projects that have been stalled for too long within the college premises.
This appeal was made during the ninth matriculation ceremony for the 2023/2024 academic year, an event that welcomed 329 eager students embarking on various four-year Bachelor in Education programs.
The Gbewaa College of Education, known for its commitment to fostering a conducive environment for teaching and learning, now finds itself in a predicament that could potentially hamper its progress and the quality of education it offers.
The stalled projects, as pointed out by Dr. Halidu, are not just physical structures lying incomplete but symbolize the unfulfilled promises and the gap between educational aspirations and realities on the ground.
Dr. Halidu’s call is not just a request for infrastructure completion; it is a plea for enhancing the quality of education and the overall learning experience for students.
The presence of unfinished buildings and facilities within the campus is a visual reminder of the work that needs to be done to ensure that educational institutions can function at their best, equipped with the necessary resources and environment conducive for academic excellence.

He emphasized the importance of taking their academic pursuits seriously, underscoring the values of discipline and decency as pivotal to their success.
This advice, while aimed at the students, reflects the broader ethos of the college – an institution that not only seeks to provide quality education but also to mold individuals who are disciplined and decent in character.
As the Gbewaa College of Education continues to navigate these challenges, Dr. Halidu’s call to the government is a stark reminder of the importance of investing in educational infrastructure.
Completing the stalled GET Fund projects would not only mark a significant step towards improving the college’s facilities but also serve as a testament to the government’s commitment to enhancing the educational landscape in Ghana.
