RECORD: Prempeh in tears as Presec are in 7th heaven with NSMQ trophy
Students, old boys, and other supporters of Presbyterian boys Secondary School (PRESEC) in Legon, Ghana, chanted, “We are still “seven” a living God,” after the school won its seventh National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) trophy, which set a new record.
The boys were able to stop Prempeh College from breaking two of their records at the same time.
The Legon boys fought for everything that was at stake. They went there, saw what was there, and won.
Their streak of back-to-back wins is still going strong, even though Prempeh College tried to catch up. They now have seven trophies, which is two more than Prempeh College.

The challengers from Kumasi were left in tears after they were beaten on their own turf. Their chants of “host and win” were also muted.
Presec sends the trophy back to Accra, the capital, crushing the hopes of their rivals.
It’s a record, and Prempeh is crying while Presec is ecstatic about winning the NSMQ trophy.
Adisadel College also failed in its attempt to bring the trophy back to Cape Coast after it had been gone for three years. Until today, Cape Coast is second only to Accra in the number of trophies it has won.
All the schools missed the first two rounds of questions, which made the competition even more exciting.

Then Prempeh College got back on its feet and led the game until the last few seconds.
People who didn’t watch the contest would have thought Presec Legon had an easy day based on the gap at the end, but it came down to the wire.
Presec answered three out of the four riddles correctly to take the lead away from Prempeh College. They ended up with 50 points, which was nine points more than Prempeh College’s 41 points. Adisadel ended up with 32 points.
“You did it!” said Elsie Effah Kaufmann, the Quiz Mistress.
