Respectfully resign for a COMPETENT FINANCIAL MANAGER to take charge -KSM to Ken Ofori-Atta

Kwaku Sintim-Misa (KSM) has called on the Minister of Finance to gratefully resign, although it is obvious that President Nana Addo will not take such an action. His call was a Tweet he made on the matter. According to the KSM, this move by the Finance Minister will be his best favour to himself and Ghana as a country.
Ken Ofori-Atta has been Ghana’s Minister of Finance since 2016 under the Akufo Addo government and has remained one of the most blamed officers of state for the current downward trending Ghanaian economy. President Akufo Addo has remained reluctant to heed the calls of many including the opposition NDC for him to show Ofori-Atta the exit. According to the president, in one of his reaction statements on calls to sack the Minister of Finance, he said, he was satisfied with the performance of his appointees and saw no need for him to sack anyone.
“Bra Ken, it is OBVIOUS the President CANNOT and WILL NOT fire you. PLEASE do him and GH a favor and respectfully resign for a COMPETENT FINANCIAL MANAGER to take charge. I am sure that the financial markets will react POSITIVELY to the news.” The Tweet from Kwaku Sintim-Misa (KSM) read.
But Ghanaians have reacted and many were of the opinion that, Ken Ofori-Atta will not be bold enough to resign because in Ghana such decisions are never taken. Black leaders and position, agye s3 “Till death do as apart”, a commentator said.
“Well said. There’s no way he will allow this to happen but then again, the Finance Minister doesn’t work in a vacuum, which means the president approves each and every decision implemented. If Mr. Ofori Atta is to resign, the President should also follow suit.”
“He won’t listen la! If he resigns what happens to the 2% his company databank gets anytime we borrow money”
Advice to Ken Ofori-Atta.
Bra Ken, it is OBVIOUS the President CANNOT and WILL NOT fire you. PLEASE do him and GH a favor and respectfully resign for a COMPETENT FINANCIAL MANGER to take charge. I am sure that the financial markets will react POSITIVELY to the news. 🙏🏿
