Akwaboah Jnr, a renowned highlife singer from Ghana, lost his father, Kwadwo Akwaboah Snr. On Tuesday, May 16, the singer announced the news on Instagram with the caption “RIP Daddy”.
The singer of the well-known song “Awerekyekyere,” Kwadwo Akwaboah, recently collaborated with his son, Akwaboah Jnr., to remake the song.
The song’s remake, which came with a beautifully recorded studio performance, captured many people’s attention and received a ton of airplay.
Master keyboardist Akwaboah Snr. also performed for numerous national and international bands.
