Schools to reopen for 2021/2022 Academic year

Schools to reopen for 2021: The government of Ghana has indicated that schools in Ghana will resume on January 15th 2021.

 

SHS one Students will return to school in March 2021.

University students are returning to school on 9th January 2021.

Government has in the 21st address to the nation by President Nana Addo indicated that PPEs will be provided to schools.

Schools are to observe strict covid-19 protocols.

The government added that it is determined to protect school children and teachers.

▫️SHS 1 to reopen on 10th March 2021.

▪️SHS 2&3 to reopen on 18th January 2021.

▫️All Tertiary institutions will reopen from 9th January 2021.

▪️Double Track System abolished for SHS 1 & SHS 3 students.

▫️SHS 2 students in schools with double track employed will continue as such.

The Ministry of Education has also given more details on the announcements made by President Nana Addo in his 21st address to the nation.

The education calendar for KG-Basic School 6, Junior High School, and Senior High School have been announced.

Universities and all tertiary institutions are to draw their own calendars since they are autonomous however, such time tables must be in line with the government’s directive on the reopening of schools
