September BECE Home Mock Starts Tonight: Students Write English From 7pm
The September 2026 BECE Home Mock has officially started, with registered students across Ghana sitting the English Language paper tonight, Friday, September 18, 2026.
The first paper is being written from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with parents, guardians or other designated family members serving as invigilators in candidates’ homes.
The examination is part of the early preparation programme for students expected to sit the WAEC-administered BECE in 2027. Education-News Consult says the Home Mock service has been running since 2022 and is now in its fifth year.
English Language Paper Covers Major Areas
Tonight’s English Language examination is designed to assess candidates across several areas of the subject.
The paper covers Composition, Comprehension, Literature and Summary, as well as Oral English and the objective test sections.
The September examination questions are based on the Grade 7 and Grade 8 English Language curriculum.

Register your ward for Ghana's premier Home Mock service, active since 2022.
This means the paper is intended to test the foundation students have built so far rather than focus only on topics taught in the final year of Junior High School.
Students Have Two Hours to Complete the Paper
Candidates writing the English Language paper have two hours, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, to complete the examination.
Because the examination is conducted from home, parents and guardians are expected to provide the necessary supervision and ensure that candidates work under examination conditions.
The home-based arrangement allows students in different parts of the country to participate in the same examination programme without having to travel to a common examination centre.

Saturday Brings Mathematics and Social Studies
The September BECE Home Mock will continue on Saturday, September 19, 2026, with candidates writing Mathematics and Social Studies.
The Mathematics paper is scheduled for 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, while Social Studies will be written from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
The examination will continue according to the published schedule as candidates complete the remaining subjects in the September session.
Scripts Will Be Uploaded for Marking
Unlike a conventional school-based examination, candidates taking the Home Mock write their answers at home using exercise books or ruled-line papers.
After completing a paper, the candidate’s script is scanned and uploaded to the online mock dashboard for marking and grading.
Education-News Consult says the scripts are assessed by its BECE and WASSCE examiners, after which results are made available through the online system.
The arrangement is designed to allow parents to monitor not only whether their wards have taken the examination but also how they perform in the individual subjects.
Parents Asked to Upload Scripts on Time
Parents and guardians have been encouraged to upload completed scripts promptly after each examination.
Timely submission allows examiners to access the scripts and begin the marking and grading process without unnecessary delays.
The home mock system therefore requires parents to play an active role throughout the examination. They are responsible for ensuring that their wards sit the papers at the scheduled times and that completed scripts are properly submitted.
Registration Remains Open
Parents whose wards are in Grade 8 or Grade 9 and are expected to sit the 2027 BECE can still contact Education-News Consult about participating in the Home Mock programme.
Education-News Consult has provided 0550360658 as its contact number for parents who need information about registration and the September examination.
The organisation also says registration can be completed quickly, after which parents gain access to the online dashboard and examination question files.
The questions can be printed for candidates or accessed digitally on devices such as laptops, tablets and mobile phones, according to the information provided by the organisers.
SkulManager Dashboard Provides Access to Mock Resources
The September BECE Home Mock is supported by the online dashboard on SkulManager.com, where parents can access resources connected to the examination.
The dashboard provides access to the question files and allows parents to upload completed scripts for marking. It is also used to provide examination results after marking and grading.
Education-News Consult has previously described its Home Mock system as a home-based assessment service in which candidates write examinations under parental supervision before their scripts are submitted for marking. (Education-News Consult)

Early Preparation for the 2027 BECE
The September session forms part of the early preparation of candidates for the next BECE.
For students currently building their foundation in Grade 7 and Grade 8 content, the examination provides an opportunity to test what they have learned and identify areas requiring further attention.
Education-News Consult has been administering Home Mock examinations since 2022, according to its published information. Its previous Home Mock materials show that candidates have taken the examinations from their homes, with parents involved in supervision and scripts subsequently submitted for marking. With the English Language paper now underway, registered candidates are expected to complete the examination within the two-hour period before turning their attention to Saturday’s Mathematics and Social Studies papers.
Parents should ensure that completed scripts are uploaded promptly after each paper so that the marking process can proceed and the candidates’ performance can be assessed throughout the September BECE Home Mock.
