SHS Student Dies After Jumping Over Fence Wall

News coming indicates that a final year SHS student of Esiama Senior High School, has died after allegedly jumping over a fence wall.
Reports from various sources indicate that the deceased ,Ludtroth, a 19-year-old student, tragically lost his life while attempting to jump the school’s fence wall in a quest to buy food from outside the the school premises.
This sad incident happened on Wednesday, March 20, at approximately 1:00pm.
On Wednesday, March, 20th, the school day held significance Heroes Day to honor the retirees of the Ghana Education Service (GES) and esteemed teachers within the Ellembelle District. However, amidst the planned festivities, Ludtroth’s desperate attempt to quell his hunger pangs ended in disaster.

Wilfred Adodoadji, the Ellembelle District Director of Education, confirmed the tragic turn of events, revealing that Ludtroth’s mother had earlier visited the school with provisions for her son. Despite her efforts to provide for him, Ludtroth made the ill-fated decision to circumvent the school’s regulations, leading to a catastrophic outcome. Regrettably, his attempt to navigate the school’s perimeter ended with him landing awkwardly on his neck, resulting in a severe sprain.
Efforts were swiftly mobilized to save Ludtroth’s life as he was promptly rushed to the Clinic at Esiama. However, his condition rapidly deteriorated, prompting medical authorities to transfer him to St. Martin’s De Porres Hospital at Eikwe. Tragically, despite the valiant efforts of medical personnel, Ludtroth succumbed to his injuries, plunging the school community and beyond into mourning.
In the aftermath of this devastating incident, the Esiama Divisional Police Command initiated an investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding Ludtroth’s untimely demise. Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been conveyed to the Eikwe Hospital Morgue pending further examination through an autopsy.
The loss of Ludtroth serves as a poignant reminder of the imperative to uphold safety protocols and regulations, particularly within educational institutions, where the welfare of students should remain paramount. As the school community grapples with the profound grief of losing one of its own, poignant questions linger about the preventative measures that could have averted this tragic outcome.
