The wait is over for thousands of BECE graduates placed in boarding Senior High Schools as the 2026/2027 academic year begins on Friday, September 18, 2026.

New SHS1 students who have secured boarding placements are expected to begin reporting to their respective schools as institutions prepare to receive a new batch of first-year students.

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially set September 18, 2026 as the start of the new academic year for Senior High Schools and Senior High Technical Schools. The approved calendar covers both Single Track and Transitional schools. (3News)
