The National Teaching Council (NTC) has successfully commenced the issuing of teacher license cards in Greater Accra which is expected to end on 26th May 2021.
Teacher license card next regions after Greater Accra
According to the Registrar of the National Teaching Council (NTC), Dr. Christian Addai Poku when the exercise comes to an end in the Greater Accra region later this month, the next region will be the Central region.
After the completion of the exercise in the Central region, the next region will be the Eastern Region. He disclosed this in an interview monitored by Ghanaeducation.org
During the interview, he said, “We will hopefully on May 26, 2021 end the teacher licensing registration in Greater Accra, so we urge all qualified teachers due to be licensed to visit the Teacher Portal Ghana (https://tpg.ntc.gov.gh) to register for the license card,”.
He assured all in-service teachers that, every region will be covered to issue the teacher licenses card to each qualified teacher.

During the interview, the Registrar told the host of the interview, Kwabena Prah that…”By 2022 every qualified teacher in the country will be licensed and we will have a good database of them, this will help us to know those who are qualified and non-qualified,”.
