Tensions Rise Ken Agyapong Clashes with Pro-Bawumia Supporters: Miracles, Ursula, and Hawa in the Spotlight

Miracles, Ursula, Hawa – Adakabri reveals the 3 pro-Bawumia supporters Ken is angry with.
In the aftermath of the November 4 presidential primaries in Ghana, a supposedly celebratory meeting between Assin Central Member of Parliament, Ken Agyapong, and Vice President Bawumia has taken an unexpected turn, revealing underlying tensions within the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Initially reported as a unity-focused gathering with an eye on the 2024 general elections, Adakabri Frimpong-Manso, a Despite Media presenter, claimed in a recent broadcast on Neat FM that the meeting was not as harmonious as portrayed. According to him, Ken Agyapong was allegedly ambushed after evading multiple invitations from the Bawumia camp.
“They did all they could to get him but he was also evading them, so they surveilled him till they realized he was at home and then they ambushed him,” Frimpong-Manso stated, questioning the need for a surprise visit without prior notice.

He further disclosed that the discussions at the meeting, which extended for a considerable duration, centered around individuals who had reportedly abused Ken Agyapong during the flagbearer campaign. Three names emerged from these talks: Miracles Aboagye, Hawa Koomson, and Ursula Owusu.

Dennis Miracles Aboagye, a presidential staffer, had accused Agyapong of having an inflated sense of importance in the run-up to the November 4 vote. However, he later backtracked, acknowledging Agyapong’s significance to the NPP’s 2024 campaign.
Ursula Owusu-Ekuful and Mavis Hawa Koomson, both serving lawmakers and ministers, had previously criticized Agyapong while expressing support for Vice President Bawumia as the NPP’s leader in 2024.
In a media interview on the day of the vote, Owusu-Ekuful asserted, “I know what the kingmakers in this constituency have told me,” confidently predicting that Bawumia would secure no less than 80% of the votes.

Hawa Koomson, speaking at a gathering in Kasoa, questioned Agyapong’s right to criticize the government while holding government-appointed roles through himself and his wife.
Despite these tensions, Bawumia emerged victorious in the November 4 polls, securing over 61% of the votes. Ken Agyapong, who placed a respectable second, has announced his departure from Parliament after five terms. As the NPP gears up for the 2024 general elections, the internal strife among its prominent members poses challenges to the party’s unity and electoral strategy.
