Term Two Vacation Date For Basic Schools

The term two vacation date for Basic Schools in Ghana have been revealed. According to the Ghana Education Service, all basic schools will bring an end of the second term on Thursday, 11th April, 2024.

Term 2 of the 2023/2024 academic year started on Tuesday, 9th January 2024. Below is the week endings for the term.

Basic Schools Term 2 Week Endings

Week endings offer teachers a moment of relief and reflection. It’s a time to evaluate students’ progress, plan for the upcoming week, and manage administrative tasks before embarking on another week of teaching and learning.

Week 1: 12th January
Week 2: 19th January
Week 3: 26th January
Week 4: 2nd February
Week 5: 9th February
Week 6: 16th February
Week 7: 23rd February
Week 8: 1st March
Week 9: 8th March
Week 10: 15th March
Week 11: 22nd March
Week 12: 29th March
Week 13: 5th April
Week 14: 11th April
Basic schools are scheduled to undergo a total of 14 weeks in term 2.

When Is The Revision Week

Revision week holds significance for both teachers and pupils. It allows teachers to reinforce key concepts, address doubts, and ensures students are well-prepared for assessments. Scheduled from 25th March to 29th March 2024, examinations follow in the subsequent week.

Term 2 Vacation Date

As per the 2023/2024 academic calendar, Basic schools in Ghana will conclude the second term on 11th April 2024.
