The Unseen Me – Poem

This is a masterpiece, a poem titled “The Unseen Me”

******************************

I live in the body of a cat
So
Many try to trample on me like a mat.
My many mumbles of meows
As my protest,
My simple submission to many, whether old or young,
And my incessant ignoring of issues, threats, insults…
Make me look like a stupid, naive bundle of bones
Clothed and filled with fear.
Like a kitten,
I run for safety in crises and chaotic conditions.
And they laugh at me.
And I smile at them.
My simplicity makes many ride over me.
But I respond not to everything
Even if I’m being soothed with inconvenience
Or being buzzed and bruised with boiling bitterness.
But when I react to anything worth reacting to,
Everyone is filled with fears and frights
And moves forward backwards
Because I don’t snarl like a cat;
I ROAR!
And they stand and stare in awe, wondering,
How can such a body,
A bundle of bones clothed and filled with fear,
Produce such…such…such a roar?
They know not
That in me is a patient lion.
The unseen me is an active, patient lion,
Boldly brave and bravely bold
Fearless and fearless of anything or anyone.
Yet, living as the silhouette of a shadow,
And acting with wit and tact.
They are nothing but mice and rats—
The foods and feasts for cats—
Parading like tigers and leopards’ brats.
