India has surpassed China to become the most populated country of the world.India’s population increased to 1,428,750,470 people according to the current data. The country currently holds more than 18% of the world’s population.

2.  China

China is the second populated country in the world with 1,425,830,081 people. This comprises of 17.61% of the world’s population.
