Unlikely Success Story: How a Lazy Student Scored 1 in All 9 BECE Subjects
The student, who we will call Kwame, was not always a good student. He was often lazy and didn’t put much effort into his schoolwork. As a result, he was struggling in all of his subjects.
However, in the year leading up to the BECE, Kwame decided to change.
He realized that if he wanted to achieve his goals, he needed to start working hard. He started by setting a goal for himself: he wanted to score 1 in all nine subjects on the BECE.
Kwame knew that it would be difficult to achieve his goal, but he was determined to do whatever it took.
He started by studying more regularly. He also started asking for help from his teachers and classmates.
In addition to studying, Kwame also made some changes to his lifestyle. He started eating healthier and getting more sleep.
He also started exercising regularly.
All of Kwame’s hard work paid off in the end.
He scored 1 in all nine subjects on the BECE and was accepted into one of the best category A schools in Ghana.
Here are some of the tips that Kwame used to learn and pass the BECE:
- Set clear goals. What do you want to achieve in the BECE? Once you know what you want to achieve, you can start to develop a plan to reach your goals.
- Study regularly. Don’t wait until the last minute to start studying. Try to study for at least 30 minutes each day.
- Ask for help. If you’re struggling with a particular subject, don’t be afraid to ask for help from your teachers or classmates.
- Take breaks. It’s important to take breaks when you’re studying. Get up and move around every 30 minutes or so.
- Eat healthy and get enough sleep. Eating healthy and getting enough sleep will help you to focus and learn better.
- Exercise regularly. Exercise is good for your physical and mental health. It will help you to stay focused and motivated.
If you’re a student who is struggling in school, don’t give up. Kwame’s story is proof that anything is possible if you set your mind to it and are willing to work hard.

- Find a study buddy. Studying with a friend or classmate can help you to stay motivated and on track.
