UTV ‘exposed’ for buying ‘fake views’ just to compete with Mcbrown at ONUA TV
The maiden edition of Nana Ama Mcbrown’s lifestyle and entertainment program apparently garnered tens of thousands of live streams across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube last week.
The show had over 10K views in one of the screenshots that took over social media trends, cementing Nana Ama’s status as the queen of late-night entertainment shows in Ghana, as some argue.
According to the statistics, many Ghanaians, both at home and abroad, tuned in to watch the premiere of Onua Showtime with McBrown online.
Over 10,000 people had already tuned in within minutes of the show streaming live on the official Facebook page of Onua TV on the night of April 30, 2023.
This sparked discussion on social media, with some media gurus and experts offering their thoughts on McBrown’s first day at work on Onua TV.
It was established that McBrown has canceled the UTV show, rendering MzGee ineffective because she lacks the strong media following that Empress McBrown has.
But, in an unexpected turn of events, MzGee has proven her strength in the media space. UTV’s United Showbiz program clocked an unfathomable 26K streaming views on Facebook alone yesterday – a figure that many netizens question.
According to a slew of social media users, the 26k live Facebook views were bogus because they quickly dropped to 14k and then 3k, which should not have happened if real people were watching the show.
