WAEC says 2021 WASSCE E-Maths, English Language papers leaked

Ghana Education News | WASSCE 2021 Leakage | WAEC says 2021 WASSCE E-Maths, English Language papers leaked.
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) says some sections of the just ended 2021 WASSCE for School Elective Mathematics and English Language papers leaked on social media ahead of the conduct of the examination.
Confirming the leakage of the paper at a press conference, WAEC said several versions of what it always describe as ‘fake’ questions circulated on various social media platforms were the same as the original WAEC questions.
“Scrutiny of the several versions received indicates extracts of parts of the questions for Mathematics (Elective) 2 and Section ‘A’ of English Language 2 was circulated on some social media platforms,” the Examination Body stated.
The West African Examinations Council following the leakage says it has beefed up security, supervision and invigilation at some examination centres it had been told are allegedly engaging in examination malpractice.
“We have increased inspection and monitoring at the various centres and are closely monitoring some Senior High Schools for evidence to validate the claims they are of the intents to cheat in the exams,” WAEC told the media.
Meanwhile, the administration of this year’s WASSCE for School Physics and Business Management papers have been rescheduled to a date yet to be communicated to members of the general public and prospective candidates.
The postponement comes after the not-for-profit-making organization (WAEC) responsible for the conduct of the international examination in the early hours of Wednesday detected the questions for the papers are on social media.
