WASSCE 2023 Exam Date and SHS3 Study Calendar Out
The Ghana Education Service has released the WASSCE 2023 Exam Date and SHS3 students’ study calendar for preparing the would-be candidates for the examination.
Since the infamous COVID-19 hit the world, Ghana’s WASSCE candidates have had to write the WAEC-administered exam for secondary school leavers in October and November.
What is the WASSCE 2023 Exam Date?
However, per the calendar released by the GES, the 2023 WASSCE candidates to be presented by Ghana will write the examination from August to September 2023.
To get the 2023 batch of WASSCE candidates from schools ready for the exam, Form 3 students will spend a maximum of 34 weeks in school with 1,360 total contact hours.
The first semester for Form 3 students will start on 9th January 2023. They will be required to break on 17th February 2023 per the released calendar. SGS3 students will return to school Form 3 students will be back to their respective campuses on 13th March 2023 and end the 1st Semester on 2nd June 2023.
The vacation period for SHS3 students preparing for the 2023 WASSCE for school candidates will go on vacation from 3rd June 2023 through to 18th June 2023.
The second semester starts on 19th June 2023 and ends the Semester on 28th September 2023 for the final year students, while the 2023 WASSCE is expected to be administered from August to September 2023.
Candidates who will be writing the WASSCE next year are advised to take note of the above details and timelines ahead of school reopening. The WASSCE 2023 Exam Date and SHS3 Study Calendar should guide would-be candidates from hence forth
SINGLE TRACK CALENDAR
All the three Form (Form 1, 2, & 3) students will spend 34 weeks in school which has a total of 1,360 contact hours for all the Forms.

SINGLE TRACK CALENDAR RE-OPENING DATES
Form 3 & 2 students will resume 1st Semester on 9th January, 2023 and stay till 11th May, 2023.
Both Forms will go on vacation from 12th May, 2023 through to 5th June, 2023.
But then, they will split in 2nd Semester.
Their 2nd Semester will commence on 5th June, 2023 and end on 29th September, 2023 and 9th October, 2023 respectively.
Form 1 students will resume on 20th January, 2023. They will stay through to 11th May, 2023.
Their vacation will commence from 12th May, 2023 and end on 2nd June, 2023.
2ND SEMESTER DATE

Their 2nd Semester will start from 5th June, 2023 and end on 10th November, 2023.
