WASSCE 2023: Sample Animal Husbandry Practical Questions

The 2023 WASSCE is ongoing in all Senior High Schools in Ghana. Here are some sample questions for today’s Animal Husbandry practical. Candidates are urged to use these sample questions as a guide as they prepare for their Animal husbandry practical.

The date for the Animal Husbandry practical is today 21st August, 2023. Below, you will find some sample questions which will guide you.

As usual, specimens will be given and follow up questions will be asked as well.  Candidates are urged to use these sample questions as a source of guidance.

Specimen A (Skin of a Goat)

a) Name the major nutrients found in specimen A

(b) Name one function for each of the major nutrients found in specimen A

c) Mention three(3) effects of exposing specimen A for several days in a store.

Specimen B (Fresh Milk)

(a) (i) Mention five ways in which specimen B could be used in poultry production.

(ii) Mention two merits of using specimen B in animal production

(iii) State two demerits of using specimen B  in animal production.

Specimen C (Blood of a chicken) 

(a) Draw and label five parts of specimen C.

(b) Mention a function each of the labelled parts of specimen C.

(c) State two management practices that could be carried out on specimen C.

Specimen D (Lateritic Red Soil)

(a) (i) Mention two ways in which the use of specimen D is important in animal production.
